Hawks Fall To Oneonta in SUNYAC Quarterfinals

ONEONTA, NY — In its first SUNYAC Tournament appearance since 2001, the seventh-seeded SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball lost to second-seeded Oneonta 69-58 in a quarterfinal game this evening.

New Paltz held an early 11-10 lead before Oneonta took the lead for good, 14-10, on a three-point field goal. The Hawks (7-18) managed to pull to within six points with eight minutes to play but were unable to pull any closer.

Freshman guard Kelley Germain (Albany, NY) led the Hawks with 12 points. Junior forward Tarah Norris (Port Jervis, NY) added 10 points and nine rebounds.
