The School of Business Played Host to the Business to Business Showcase!

The School of Business hosted the Business to Business Showcase trade showcase for Ulster County from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7 in the Elting Gymnasium. 97 exhibitors attracted 1, 000 participants at the seventh annual event.

Students from the SUNY New Paltz School of Business, primarily AMA members, were on hand to help with the show and to cover booth spaces while exhibitors took quick breaks. There were opportunities for interaction not only with exhibitors, but also with attendees. Students also earned academic credit for participating. Though a representative cross section of different businesses exhibited at the 7th annual showcase, the primary emphasis was on those companies that do business with other business owners. New information from communication and technology firms were featured so the event was educational .

Attendees and students had the chance not only to find out what new products and services are offered in the county, but how to access them and what cost savings or other benefits were derived.

An unofficial poll of attendees, found that businesses were happy with the choice of using the facilities at SUNY New Paltz.

Major sponsors for the 2003 event included Ulster Savings Bank, Daily Freeman, Key Bank National Association, and the Hudson Valley Business Journal, to name a few.
