NEW YORK, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s soccer team got a great effort from its defense and junior goalkeeper Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) in a 0-0 double overtime tie against New York University this afternoon at Riverbank State Park.
New Paltz (3-12-2) was outshot 31-0 by the Violets but kept NYU off the scoreboard thanks to the 15 saves recorded by Fenton.
The Violets (6-8-1) tallied 14 shots in the first half and had a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
New Paltz closes out their season with a game at Skidmore College on Friday, October 31st at 4:00 pm.
