SUNY New Paltz Women s Soccer Team Defeats Conference Rival SUNYIT

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz women’s soccer team earned their first conference win of the season by beating SUNYIT 2-0 this evening.

The first score of the contest came when Wildcats junior Kim Wyborski (Utica, NY) kicked the ball into her own goal, giving New Paltz an early 1-0 lead. Freshman midfielder Alison Fliegel (New Hyde Park, NY) scored her team leading fifth goal of the season in the 75th minute, on an assist by junior forward Karalyn Kudlak (Glen Head, NY), to seal the victory for the Hawks.

Junior goalie Robin Dole (Rome, NY) had 14 saves for the Wildcats and junior goalie Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) had one save for the Hawks.
