GENESEO, NY — After a scoreless first half, Geneseo junior Sarah Maisonet blasted a shot from the top of the arc to give Geneseo a 1-0 win over SUNY New Paltz this afternoon.
The loss dropped the Hawks record to 4-11 overall and 1-4 in the SUNYAC.
Geneseo (5-9, 2-3) controlled play throughout most of the contest and outshot New Paltz 12-1 for the game. Sophomore goalie Amanda Carver was called upon to make one save to earn her fourth shutout of the season.
New Paltz sophomore goalie Erika Engstrom (Montauk, NY) made four saves.
