SUNY New Paltz Women’s Tennis Team Earns 2nd Straight Win With 8-1 Victory Over Plattsburgh

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Hawks women s tennis team won their second straight road match to open the season with an 8-1 victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) rival Plattsburgh.

New Paltz swept all three doubles matches while winning five of the six singles matches. They were spearheaded by sisters Amie and Jen Larson (Port Jervis, NY) and Jessica Smith (Newport News, VA) who won their single matches by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Jen Larson has yet to lose a game this year.

The Hawks home opener is against Stevens Tech on Wednesday, September 10 at 4:00 pm.
