SOUTHAMPTON, NY — For the second time this season, LIU Southampton defeated New Paltz in three straight games Sunday afternoon.
The Colonials won a tight first game 30-28 before taking games two and three 30-13 and 30-20. Southampton improves to 8-4 on the season and remains perfect in the division at 4-0. The Hawks (0-12) are still searching for their first win of the season.
Joe Daigler (Buffalo, NY) had 16 kills to lead the Colonial attack while Scott Schult (Buffalo, NY) added 13.
Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) led New Paltz with 10 kills.
The Hawks play again Tuesday at Elting Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. against Queens College.
