NEW PALTZ – — Senior forward Mandy DaRin (Liverpool, NY) scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Cortland to a 2-0 conference win over SUNY New Paltz this afternoon.
With the game being played in a steady rainfall, Cortland took a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute when DaRin set up junior defender Addie King (Arcade, NY) for the goal.
DaRin put the game out of reach in the 84th minute when she fired a shot past SUNY New Paltz sophomore goalie Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY).
Cortland outshot the Hawks 11-7 to improve their record to 6-5-1 overall and 5-2-0 in the SUNYAC. New Paltz dropped to 6-11 overall and 3-5 in the league.
