NEW PALTZ — Melissa Hawkins scored an unassisted goal at 25:40 of the first half to lift Manhattanville to a 1-0 win over SUNY New Paltz this afternoon in day-two of the Mid-Hudson Classic at SUNY New Paltz.
Hawkins’ goal helped the Valiants improve their record to 1-2. SUNY New Paltz dropped to 0-4.
SUNY New Paltz outshot Manhattanville 8-6 for the game. Manhattanville goalie Liz McNamee turned away five shots. Maggie Fenton made four stops for the Hawks.
