NEW PALTZ – — SUNY New Paltz senior hitter Jackie Goldstein (Port Jervis, NY – Minisink Valley HS) was named to the all-tournament team at the Skidmore Early Bird Volleyball Invitational on Aug. 31.
In 10 games, Goldstein averaged 2.2 kills per game and had a .286 hitting percentage.
Goldstein had nine kills in a 3-0 loss (17-30, 14-30, 27-30) to Skidmore in the opening match. In a 3-1 loss (16-30, 26-30, 30-22, 13-30) to RIT she recorded nine kills with a .471 hitting percentage. Goldstein closed out the day with four kills, one dig and one assist in a 3-0 loss (13-30, 20,30, 29-31) to The College of St. Rose.
The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team (0-3) will play its home opener on Sept. 4 against Montclair St. at 7:00 p.m. in Elting Gymnasium.
