Hawks Fall to Geneseo
GENESEO — New Paltz women’s soccer was shutout for the second time this weekend in a 4-0 loss to Geneseo. The loss drops the Hawks’ record to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Knights struck twice in the opening fifteen minutes on goals from Jackie Fertitta and Logan Hadzicki. Heather Trottier assisted on both goals. Maureen Hilliker put Geneseo up by three with 27:05 gone to give the Knights a 3-0 lead at the break.
In the second half Fertitta got her second of the game on a penalty kick at 60:34 to close out the scoring.
Danielle Herring made seven saves in the goal for the Hawks while Jamie Waterman made two for Geneseo.
