BROCKPORT — Freshman forward Anne Renkas (West Seneca, NY) scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Golden Eagles of Brockport to a 3-0 blanking of New Paltz in a rain-soaked game Friday afternoon in Brockport.
The Golden Eagles improve to 7-2, 3-0 in the conference, while the Hawks slip to 4-7, 1-2 on the season.
Leanne Gedraitis (West Falls, NY) opened the scoring with her sixth goal of the season at 29:36 from Renkas. Christine Ecklund (Rochester, NY) made it 2-0 in the second half and Renkas closed out the scoring at 67:35 with her third goal of the year.
The Hawks were outshot 31-4 in the game. Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) made fourteen saves for New Paltz while Brockport keeper Mary Kay Malanska (Rochester, NY) made one to record her sixth shutout of the season.
