Ramsey, Lee Qualify For ECACs at King’s Point

KING’S POINT — Stephanie Ramsey (Shelton, CT) and Justin Lee (East Fishkill, NY) highlighted the day for the Hawks Saturday at the United States Merchant Marine Invitational as they qualified for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in their respected events.

Ramsey qualified in the women’s long jump placing 3rd with a jump of 4.90 meters and Lee qualified in the men’s 800 meters finishing 3rd with a time of 1:57.23.

Also for the women’s team, Andrea Drayss (Island Trees, NY) was 1st in the women’s shot put with a throw of 12.57 meters, Rebecca Demeri (Wantagh, NY) was 5th in the women’s 1500m with a time of 5:06.57, and Christina Butcher (North Salem, NY) finished 2nd in the 100m high hurdles with a time of 16.51.

For the men, Adam Thyberg (Bluepoint, NY) took 1st in the pole vault clearing 3.96 meters, Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY) was 2nd in the 1500m (4:02.96), Sean McCormick (Suffern, NY) took 5th in the 800m (1:59.52), and Dan Holton (Rhinebeck, NY) was 6th in the men’s 3000m (9:14.27).

Track and Field will next take part in the Albany Spring Classic this Friday.
