Men’s Volleyball Survives Late Charge From Ramapo
NEW PALTZ — New Paltz men’s volleyball hung on to defeat Ramapo 3-2 Tuesday night at Elting Gym. The Hawks held a 2-0 lead only to see the Roadrunners draw even 2-2. With the score tied in the final game 13-13, Beau Warren’s (Canandaigua, NY) two kills ended the game and sealed the win.
Warren led the charge recording yet another triple double with 16 kills, 15 assists, and 12 digs. This is Warren’s sixth triple double in the last nine matches. Sean Riley (Port Jefferson, NY) added a double double finishing with 11 kills and 18 digs, and Jim Cramer (New Oxford, PA) added 35 assists.
For Riley, the match marked his final home game as a Hawk. This was Riley’s 107th match in his career. To date, he has accumulated 851 kills, 515 blocks, 399 digs, and 55 aces in a New Paltz uniform.
The Hawks will next compete in the ECAC Championships taking place next weekend.
