NEW YORK, NY — New Paltz men’s tennis swept all their matches Thursday against City College of New York in a 9-0 win.
In singles play, #1 Brad Breakstone (Mount Kisco, NY) won 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, #2 Bobby Calise (East Islip, NY) won 6-0, 6- 0, #3 Brian Palmenteri (Howard Beach, NY) won 6-2, 6-1, #4 David Bridglall (Bronx, NY) won 6-1, 6-2, #5 Josh Greenspan (North Babylon, NY) won 6-2, 6-0, and #6 Gar Cheung (Wappingers Falls, NY) won 6-0, 6-2. Doubles play was much the same for the Hawks, as they never were seriously challenged. Breakstone and Calise won their match 8-2, Bridglall and Palmenteri won 8-4, and Greenspan and Cheung won 8-0.
Men’s tennis will be in action again Saturday when they host the United States Merchant Marine Academy at 1:00pm.
