Vassar Wins Mid-Hudson Showdown

POUGHKEEPSIE — The #5 ranked team in the country, the Vassar Brewers, exercised their might Tuesday night against the New Paltz men’s volleyball team. Vassar came away with a three-game, 30-24, 30-22, 30-27 win. The Brewers improved to 17-3 on the season while New Paltz fell to 14-15.

Beau Warren (Canandaigua, NY) pulled his third triple double in the last four matches finishing with 11 kills, 11 assists, and 10 digs. Sean Riley (Port Jefferson, NY) added 8 kills and 10 digs and Jim Cramer (New Oxford, PA) had 21 assists in the match.

New Paltz will look to rebound tonight as they try to exact revenge on East Stroudsburg. The Warriors came back to defeat the Hawks 3 games to 2 after New Paltz led 2-0.
