CORTLAND — The New Paltz women’s basketball team dropped one on the road Tuesday night to Cortland 74-42. Cortland finished the last 4:32 of the first half on a 9-2 run and opened the second half with a 22-6 run over the first 9:29 to pull away. The loss drops the Lady Hawks overall record to 3-12 and their conference record to 2-7.
Junior guard Christine Gregory (Wallkill, NY) led New Paltz with 14 points hitting 4 of 5 from three-point range. Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) added 12 points.
New Paltz will host the Lakers of Oswego Friday night at 6:00 and the Blue Knights of Geneseo Saturday at 2:00.
