NEW PALTZ — The Art Lecture Series at SUNY New Paltz announces that the lecture with artist Jana Sterbak scheduled for Wednesday, October 10, 2001 has been postponed until the spring semester. No replacement lecture has been planned so that students and community members may attend the lecture by sculptor Martin Puryear at Ulster County Community College (7pm, Vanderlyn Hall).
The SUNY New Paltz Art Lecture Series attracts artists whose work has achieved national and international reputations. The series is presented to the community free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend. The Student Art Alliance, a funded member organization of the Student Association, sponsors it.
The next event is on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Lecture Center 112. Oliver Herring is the featured speaker.
