Field Hockey Loses in Overtime

PURCHASE — The New Paltz Women’s Field Hockey Team lost a tough match in overtime Wednesday at Manhattanville. Jessica Rickershauser scored on a penalty stroke in the extra session for the win. New Paltz had the lead in the second half thanks to two goals 1:27 apart from Kelly Anderson (Kingston, NY) and Meredith Herfel (Holbrook, NY) but Manhattanville was able to get the tying goal and send the match into overtime. Goalkeeper Liz Clarke (Stone Ridge, NY) made 10 saves in the match.

New Paltz plays again this Saturday at Dietz Stadium in Kingston against Wells at 1:00.
