NEW PALTZ — New Paltz scored twice in the second half to defeat visiting Wells College on Saturday at Dietz Stadium in Kingston. The victory ups the Hawks’ record to 2-9 on the year.
Kelly Anderson (Kingston, NY) scored first for the Hawks with 24:35 left in the second stanza. Meredith Herfel (Holbrook, NY) picked up the assist on the play. Herfel got one of her own six minutes later off an assist from Lisa Taub (Greenlawn, NY). New Paltz outshot Wells 9-3 in the game and goalkeeper Liz Clarke (Stone Ridge, NY) made 3 saves in the match.
