NEW PALTZ — Vinnie Perry, a Kingston High graduate, was named ECAC Division III Upstate Baseball Hitter of the Week for games through April 9, 2001.
Perry garnered the honor by hitting an impressive 11 for 19 with two homers and seven RBI to lead New Paltz to a 3-2 record over the last week. Perry continued his hitting streak to 14 games, while aiding the Hawks to a 5-3 victory over SUNY Farmingdale on April 11.
Perry, a Business major, has a team leading .464 batting average. Perry also leads the team in hits (26) and homers (2).
