Hawks Avenge Early Season Loss to Farmingdale
NEW PALTZ — Kingston native Chris Schuon pitched five innings of strong relief and Brian Clarke kept his 10-game hitting streak alive as the Hawks beat Farmingdale 5-3 Wednesday. The win avenges an early season loss the Hawks suffered to Farmingdale. Schuon, who relieved Hawks starter Keith Roloson in the third inning, struck out four and allowed no runs on five hits to pick up the win. Clark, meanwhile, homered and drove in two runs, while Vinnie Perry and Mike Bucco added two hits apiece. With the win, the Hawks improve to 8-10 overall, and have a key SUNYAC showdown at perennial powerhouse Cortland on Saturday.
