NEW YORK — SUNY New Paltz lost in four games, 15-7, 15-8, 12-15, 15-1, to Hunter College in women’s volleyball action on Tuesday night in midtown Manhattan.
The (2-21) Hawks received strong play from Crystal Smith (eight kills, 22 digs), Ann Marie Carbone (six blocks, three service aces) and Jennifer Hollis (17 assists) in the loss.
New Paltz plays at Manhattanville at 7 p.m. on Thursday before returning home to host the second of two SUNYAC East Pool Play events this weekend at Elting Gymnasium. Play begins Friday at 4 p.m. and resumes Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
