NEW PALTZ — Come experience the exciting and energetic Chamber Jazz Ensembles. Students of the Jazz Studies Program at SUNY New Paltz jam, groove and bebop on the stage of Julien J. Studley Theatre at concerts on Thursday, November 9 and Thursday, November 30, 2000. Both concerts start at 8:00 PM.
Under the guidance of Jazz Studies Director Mark Dziuba, ensembles ranging from 6 to 12 members perform student and faculty arrangements of standard jazz repertoire and showcase the musicians’ continued improvisational and musical progress. In addition to instrumental ensembles, the concert features the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, which performs arrangements for multiple vocalists and rhythm section.
Tickets to the Chamber Jazz Ensemble may be purchased at the door to Julien J. Studley Theatre one hour prior to the performance.
