Women’s Volleyball Drops Two At Invitational

ITHACA — SUNY New Paltz remained winless in women’s volleyball on Friday at the first day of the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational at Ben Light Gymnasium.

New Paltz (0-6) lost to Savannah College of Art and Design, 15-2, 15-7, 15-5, and also fell to Hamilton, 15-7, 16-18, 15-11, 15-8.

The Hawks rallied from a 14-7 deficit to win the second game against the Continentals. Jennifer Hollis had 26 assists, 15 digs and eight kills and Crystal Smith added 16 kills and 24 digs in that match.

New Paltz will play Alfred at 11 a.m. and face Elmira at 3 p.m. in Saturday’s tournament matchups.
