Women’s Lacrosse Loses To Oswego
KINGSTON — Four Oswego players had hat tricks, as the Lakers defeated SUNY New Paltz, 18-6, in women’s lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon at Kingston’s Dietz Stadium.
Kelly Filipkowski, Brianne Muisus, Kat Stead and Kelly Webb had three goals apiece and Lindsay Roundpoint and Annette Stead each added two goals for the (6-0 overall, 1-0 SUNYAC) Lakers.
Meanwhile, team-leading scorers Katie Sharp (three goals) and Wallkill product Erin Scherf (two goals) continued their strong play for New Paltz (0-4 overall, 0-2 SUNYAC), which was outscored just 7-5 in the second half.
For the game, Oswego outshot New Paltz, 41-10, and held a 53-24 advantage on groundballs. Hawk goalkeeper Adrian Grasso made 18 saves in the contest.
New Paltz is at Geneseo on Friday for a 4 p.m. match.
