Women’s Lacrosse Loses To Wells

AURORA — Three Wells players scored three or more goals, as the Express defeated SUNY New Paltz, 15-7, in women’s lacrosse on Saturday afternoon.

Leticia Hernandez led the Express with four goals, while Carrie Gleasman and Katrina Nobles each had three goals. Meanwhile, Katie Sharp and Wallkill product Erin Sherf continued their strong play, contributing two goals apiece for New Paltz (0-3).

Sharp now has a team-leading five goals, and had three goals against Potsdam (an 11-8 loss) yesterday. Scherf is second on the team in scoring, and had two goals in yesterday’s match.

New Paltz returns home to host Oswego for a SUNYAC match at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Kingston’s Dietz Stadium.
