Women’s Lacrosse Loses At Montclair State

UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ — Jodi Gangemi had five goals and older sister Vicki Gangemi added two goals to lead Montclair State past SUNY New Paltz, 17-1, in non-conference women’s lacrosse on a cold and dreary Tuesday afternoon in New Jersey.

Alyssa Parisi (four goals), Jeanelle Husth (two goals, two assists), Alison Bonavita (two goals) and Kristen Miskey (two goals) also scored for the Red Hawks, which peppered New Paltz sophomore goalkeeper Adrian Grasso (33 saves) with 58 shots in the contest. Erin Scherf, meanwhile, scored New Paltz’s lone goal just 2:43 into the contest.

The Hawks host Buffalo State for a SUNYAC match on Friday at 4 p.m. at Kingston’s Dietz Stadium.
