Men’s Tennis Team Blanks Hunter
NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz didn’t drop a set en route to defeating Hunter College, 9-0, in men’s tennis on Friday at New Paltz’s Air Structure.
Four players – Kingston High graduate Justin Jourden, Chris Knoblauch, Ed Paulinski and Tiberiu Taran – won at both singles and doubles. Onteora High graduate Josh Elohim (fifth singles), David Bridglall (sixth singles), and the team of Rondout Valley High graduate Eric Gullickson and Andrew Lehr (third doubles) delivered one win apiece.
New Paltz (4-4) hosts Montclair State tomorrow at 1 p.m. The match had originally been scheduled to be played in New Jersey, but due to anticipated continued poor weather was shifted to New Paltz’s Air Structure.
