Emily Faxon, violinist and Ruthanne Schempf, pianist present a program of American and 20th century music including “Sonata for Violin and Piano,” a new work by Andre Previn that is subtitled “Vineyard,” inspired by the place where most of it was composed, Martha’s Vineyard. The concert also includes “Sonate pour Violon et Piano” (1923-27) by Maurice Ravel. Tickets are available at the door, one hour prior to the performance.
