Women’s Volleyball Gets Past St. Rose

NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz struggled past Division II College of St. Rose, 15-7, 15-17, 15-13, 15-12, in women’s volleyball action on Wednesday night at Elting Gymnasium.

Belgica Santana led the way for the (19-11) Hawks, with 34 kills, 12 digs and five aces. Ellen Salov, meanwhile, had 24 digs, 14 blocks and eight kills and Kingston High product Michelle Gallo added 11 digs, seven kills and five blocks for New Paltz, which has now won four of its last six matches.

New Paltz hosts Manhattanville at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
