School of Business Adds New MBA Concentration
NEW PALTZ – The SUNY New Paltz School of Business is adding an Information & Knowledge Management (IKM) concentration to its MBA program. The new concentration presents a unique opportunity for students interested in combining information technology with business knowledge.
Today’s technologies allow businesses to gather massive amounts of unprocessed, and often unorganized, information. Businesses need skilled and creative people to organize, analyze, and create appropriate uses for the information. IKM is a growing professional field that uses a conscious strategy to collect, organize and analyze data for the purpose of effective decision-making. SUNY New Paltz’ MBA in the IKA concentration will lead to careers in front-line management in a technology-rich environment, and strategic consulting in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and education.
The School of Business will hold an information session on the IKA concentration on Wednesday, May 2 at 6 p.m. in the van den Berg Learning Center Business Lounge. Professor Chih-Yang Tsai will make a presentation, which will be followed by a question and answer period.
