Powerful Oneonta Moves Past Hawks
NEW PALTZ — Perennial men’s tennis power SUNY Oneonta proved too tough an opponent for SUNY New Paltz on Friday afternoon, defeating the Hawks 8-1 at the university Air Structure.
Freshman Bobby Calise had New Paltz’s lone win at fifth singles, 6-3, 6-1, over Rudy Bembry. All of the Hawks’ losses came in straight sets.
New Paltz will host another powerful regional opponent, Rensselaer, on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
