Public Lecture: Healing the Heart through Art
NEW PALTZ — Natalie Rogers, the author of The Creative Connection: Expressive Arts as Healing and Emerging Women, will speak at SUNY New Paltz at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19.
Rogers will share her methods of using the arts for healing, incorporating examples of her work in a range of national and international contexts. Additionally, she will explore the possibilities of her unique blend of the person-centered approach (developed by her father, Carl Rogers) with expressive arts therapies for promoting personal and social change.
The lecture/slide show will be held in Coykendall Science Building Lecture Hall 250 and is sponsored by the Humanistic/Multicultural Education Program.
It is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Lee Bell at (845) 257-2834.
