SUNY New Paltz Faculty Perform Duos for Violin and Piano

NEW PALTZ — Ruthanne Schempf and Emily Faxon, long-time friends and musical collaborators, will present a concert of wildly contrasting duos on Tuesday, February 20, 2001. The concert begins at 8:00 PM in the Julien J. Studley Theatre at SUNY New Paltz. Tickets are available at the door, beginning at 7:00 PM.

For over 15 years, Schempf, piano, and Faxon, violin, have performed together in various groups throughout the Hudson Valley. These faculty-members in the Department of Music at SUNY New Paltz will collaborate in duos by Beethoven, Prokofiev, and Marian Bauer.

Tickets to the concert are available in the lobby of the Julien J. Studley Theatre one hour prior to the concert. Prices for these tickets are as follows: $6 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens and SUNY faculty/staff, and $3 for students.
