SUNY New Paltz to host third annual UlsterCorps Service Summit
NEW PALTZ – The State University of New York at New Paltz will host the third annual UlsterCorps Service Summit on Wednesday, April 25, from 8 am to 12 pm at the College Terrace.
Co-sponsored by New Paltz’ Center for Research, Regional Engagement, and Outreach (CRREO), RiverTides, Ulster Savings Bank and Central Hudson, the annual summit brings together representatives from the nonprofit, business, higher education, and governmental sectors to address issues of importance to the county and to promote a culture of volunteerism.
This year’s summit will address: the ongoing work of the Hunger Project, a collaborative effort to alleviate hunger in Ulster County; local and national volunteer service models for responding to communities in crisis, with a focus on recent storm relief efforts; and a review of effective local and regional examples of youth volunteerism.
Registration is limited to the first 60 respondents. For information or registration, contact beth@ulstercorps.org or call 845 481-0331. For more information about CRREO, visit www.newpaltz.edu/crreo or call 845-257-2901.
