Returning next year: The President’s Award and Chancellor’s Awards for Student Excellence
SUNY New Paltz announces the 2023 return of the President’s Award along with the Chancellor’s Awards for Student Excellence, which acknowledge students who have received recognition for outstanding campus achievements.
The President’s Award for Student Excellence is the highest recognition bestowed upon students at the campus level. It was designed last year to pay tribute to New Paltz students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics and in other areas of their collegiate careers.
The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence is a SUNY-wide honor recognizing students who have best demonstrated, and have been acknowledged for, the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, campus involvement, or career achievement.
The second class of President’s Awardees and Chancellor’s Awardees will be recognized at the end of the spring 2023 semester.
To qualify, students must be:
Graduating between June 2022 – May 2023
Maintaining a GPA of 3.7 or higher
Show distinction in at least three areas of co-curricular activity
Nominations will open in early December 2022. More information about the nomination process will be shared soon.
