Fredonia Edges Hawks In Women’s Soccer

NEW PALTZ — Jen Robinson’s goal with 13:05 left in regulation broke a 1-1 tie and lifted SUNY Fredonia to a 2-1 victory over New Paltz in SUNYAC women’s soccer on Friday afternoon.

Robinson also had a hand in the (3-5 overall, 1-2 SUNYAC) Blue Devils first score, assisting on Toni Cuomo’s first half goal at the 15:24 mark.

Michele Branca scored New Paltz’s (1-8 overall, 0-5 SUNYAC) goal on a header after a corner kick by Katie Sharp at 52:54. The Hawks outshot Fredonia 10-7 in the contest.

New Paltz is back in action tomorrow when it hosts Buffalo State for a 1 p.m. match.
