Women’s Tennis Swept By Dowling
NEW PALTZ — Rachel Murray was the lone Hawk player to win a set on Sunday, as perennial New York City women’s tennis power Dowling blanked New Paltz, 9-0.
Murray lost a three-set match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, to Diane Rosavitch at fourth singles in the (1-5) Hawks’ most hotly contested match. At fifth singles, Jennifer Lipp fell to Dowling’s Stephanie delaMata, 6-2, 6-4.
The Hawks host Manhattanville on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
