The AC² Program creates opportunities for SUNY New Paltz students from economically disadvantaged and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to thrive in science, engineering and mathematics. One such opportunity is the AC² Summer Research Program. This year, 20 students worked with faculty to conduct research in the lab and in the field, including this group, seen here with Associate Professor of Geology Shafiul Chowdhury at Esopus Creek in Hurley, N.Y. The AC² summer researchers will present their findings on Wednesday, June 27, at the College Terrace, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
