SUNY New Paltz Indoor Track and Field Teams Close Out Season at ECAC Championship

BRUNSWICK, ME — The SUNY New Paltz men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams closed out their final season of competition at the 2004 ECAC Championship held at Bowdoin College over the weekend. The women finished in a tie for 26th place among 39 teams.

In the men’s meet, junior Josh Moore (Woodburne, NY) finished 14th in the shot put with a throw of 47 feet, 3 3/4 inches.

In the women’s meet, New Paltz had three top 10 finishes. Sophomore Musu Jackson-Buckner (Buffalo, NY) placed third in the 200 meters with a time of 26.14 and came in eighth in the 400 meters in 1:00.61. Junior Christina Butcher (North Salem, NY) finished eighth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.33.
