Bouldering Builds Teamwork in New Paltz MBA Students

MBA students at SUNY New Paltz spent time this semester developing teamwork, communication and collaboration skills at New Paltz’s Inner Wall Climbing facility.

Lecturer JoDee LaCasse led students in her Individual and Group Behavior Analysis course on excursions to the indoor rock climbing space for experiential learning sessions focusing on skills that are in demand in many professional environments.

“Employers expect employees to be able to communicate and collaborate with coworkers and be able to work effectively in teams,” LaCasse said. “The Inner Wall teambuilding experience is a meaningful and fun opportunity for students to develop their confidence and conquer a difficult task, with skills that will carry over to their business environments.”

The AASCB-accredited SUNY New Paltz MBA is dedicated to providing students of all backgrounds with the abilities and knowledge they need to thrive as professionals and entrepreneurs in the 21st century.
