SUNY New Paltz baseball hosts Ithaca this Thursday
NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s baseball team will take on Ithaca College in a single nine-inning game on Thursday at Loren Campbell Field beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The Hawks (3-8) will be playing in their first game since returning home from Fort Pierce, FL. The Hawks went 3-5 on the trip and got victories over Nyack (17-10), Bethany (13-5), and Alvernia (8-1).
New Paltz was scheduled for a doubleheader at Marywood on Sunday but the games were canceled due to unplayable field conditions in Scranton, PA.
Ithaca enters the game with a 5-5 record on the season. In 2002, the Bombers were NCAA Tournament competitors, losing in the regional championship game to RPI 4-3.
