Men’s Volleyball Loses At Home
NEW PALTZ — Hay Conference leader Queens College outlasted SUNY New Paltz, 15-6, 12-15, 15-5, 13-15, 15-13, in a two-hour Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) match on Tuesday night at Elting Gymnasium.
Freshman outside hitter Miguel Soriano helped New Paltz (2-4 overall, 0-2 EIVA Hay Conference) stay close to the Division II (6-1 overall, 3-0 EIVA Hay Conference) Knights, with 19 kills, four digs and two blocks. Juniors Chris Wright (14 kills, two blocks), Carlos Tollinche (seven kills, four digs) and Robert Manosca (33 assists, seven kills, two service aces) also contributed for New Paltz.
The Hawks return to action with a 7 p.m. match on Thursday at Sacred Heart.
