New Paltz Loses to Union 3-1
NEW PALTZ — The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team dropped a hard-fought four-game decision to Union College this evening at Elting Gymnasium. Union improved its record to 3-2 on the year while the Hawks dropped to 1-14.
Julie Moran (Nisswa, MN) recorded 15 kills and 12 digs, and Corinn Jordan (New Hyde Park, NY) had 15 kills and a .324 hitting percentage to lead the Dutchwomen. Sarah Pontius (Oneonta, NY) contributed 30 assists and 10 digs.
Jackie Goldstein (Port Jervis, NY) led the Hawks with 15 kills and a .314 hitting percentage while Jennifer Hollis (Livingston, NJ) had 16 assists and seven digs. Christina Mazurowski (Tonawanda, NY) added 8 kills and four service aces.
