POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Vassar scored five second-half goals Wednesday en route to a 6-1 victory over New Paltz.
Emily Learner (Hollis, NH) got the Hawks on the board at 6:51 of the first half before Musu Jackson-Buckner (Buffalo, NY) tied the score at the 29:14 mark.
In the second half, Ellen Ridyard (Jenkintown, PA), Leah Spigelman (Brooklyn, NY), Kaitlin Harvie (East Montpelier, VT), Katherine Ross (Williamsburg, VA), and Maureen Kenealy (Wellesley, MA) each tallied goals for the 6-1 final margin.
Tara Trifon (Coronado, CO) and Sharla Alegria (North Dighton, MA) combined to make seven saves for Vassar and Erica Engstrom (Montauk, NY) stopped eight shots for the Hawks.
