Men’s Volleyball Dispatches Steven’s Tech
HOBOKEN, NJ — The men’s volleyball team rebounded from a midweek loss to Queens to on Friday defeating Steven’s Tech in four games.
The Hawks took command early winning the first two games 30- 26 and 30-27. Steven’s Tech pulled to within one with a tough 37-35 win in game three, but the Hawks rebounded to overcome the Ducks charge winning game four 30-22.
Mike La Rocco (Hauppauge, NY) and Sean Riley (Brewerton, NY) both had double-doubles in the match. La Rocco finished with 17 kills and 14 digs, while Riley added 14 kills and 10 digs. Jim Cramer (New Oxford, PA) also had 51 assists for the Hawks.
New Paltz is now 9-10 on the year and next hosts the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
