NEW: SUNY New Paltz Family Network launches for parents and guardians of students

SUNY New Paltz is rolling out a new tool aimed at helping family members of current students stay informed about news, resources and key deadlines they can use to help their students succeed in and out of the classroom.

The SUNY New Paltz Family Network includes news updates from the University, a calendar of upcoming events and deadlines, a personalized email newsletter and affinity-group communities where family members can connect with fellow Hawk supporters.

All family members of New Paltz students are invited to create an account. See the image at right for an example of the kind of information you can expect in the Family Network newsletter.

The Network was developed by New Paltz’s Office of Communication & Marketing in consultation with partners in Student Affairs, Information Technology Services, Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs and Alumni Relations.

The goal of the project was to bring together the various offices and colleagues who communicate with parents of new and current students, to promote collaboration and consistency in the communications family members receive from the institution.

More information for families of SUNY New Paltz students can be found here.

The SUNY New Paltz Family Network is fully compliant with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. More information about FERPA compliance is available online.
