Graduating seniors pen letters of gratitude to New Paltz community
As a show of appreciation, 280 SUNY New Paltz graduating seniors wrote letters of gratitude to members of our faculty and staff that supported them during their time at the University. A few of these students chose to thank the whole University.
These letters were hand-delivered or mailed to them by the Office of Alumni Relations. The letters were all written during the 100 Days to Commencement celebration, held on Feb. 8, which celebrated graduating seniors and kicked off the countdown to Commencement.
Here are brief excerpts from those letters, which you can read in full here.
“Thank you for giving me the best four years of my life, for giving me lifelong memories that I will cherish forever,” Juliette Kurta ’23 (Sociology)
“Going away for college has always been a dream of mine, and I am so thankful that I was able to achieve that dream at SUNY New Paltz,” Jonathan Castillo ’23 (Communication Studies)
“Thank you for all the support in helping me get through college,” Sarah Boehning ’23 (Adolescent Education; History/Sociology)
Each year, the Office of Alumni Relations hosts 100 Days to Commencement to prepare students in becoming alumni of the University and to inform them how to stay connected after they graduate.
