As classes end, Holistic Hawks hosts series of #StressBusters
With the spring 2023 semester winding to a close, the College’s Holistic Hawks committee is offering 30 Stressbuster events from May 5-18 to help New Paltz students beat Finals Week stress and transition to a summer at home.
An additional series of group exercise classes will be held for students at the Athletic & Wellness Center.
The campus community is also invited for an evening of competitive release with the annual Kickball Tournament, Thursday, May 11 at 5 p.m.
Here are some of the other highlights of the spring 2023 #StressBusters events:
Stronger Through Struggle encourages students to share resiliency tools via Post-it notes, Monday, May 8.
The Psychological Counseling Center offers support at Art Your Stress Away on May 9 and 16, and Let’s Talk, the informal, walk-in counseling service, on May 10.
In conjunction with Student Association, Chabad at New Paltz and the Jewish Student Union, Holistic Hawks is offering a workshop on the art of Pickle Making, Thursday, May 11.
The Student Resilience Advocates are hosting a Mental Health Game Day, Friday, May 12 from 12-2 p.m.
Also on May 12, Anna the Therapy dog will be on campus in HAB 701 for students who want to pay her a visit. Walk-ins welcome!
